First face-to-face meeting

Ms. Swan, Mr. Webb and Ms. Luhtala met to flesh out ideas about the project.

• We will meet with the classes on May 16 and 17 (period 2)
• We will have a team building activity on May 21st in the Wagner room
• We will work from a Google Sites web portal to which we will link student-created units and lessons. 
• We will create a webpage template that students can follow to outline their lessons (model lesson)
• We will look to NCPS social studies standards, and perhaps CCSS to align lessons and units with curricular standards
• We explored technologies that students can employ to make their lessons engaging and interactive. The list included (but is not limited to)

• Lucid Chart
• Lessons should be as interactive as possible
• We will brainstorm with students on May 16 and 17 to develop a list of concepts to investigate
